This featured stock has $588 million in cash and zero debt, earnings per share have more than doubled in the last three years, and it boasts a healthy profit margin of 19%; and it is one of the most recognizable brands in a fast-rising sector, explains Chris Preston, in Daily Profit.
Lululemon (LULU) has become a classic case of a good company getting beaten down by bad publicity.
The company has had a rough year; things went from bad to worse for the women's athletic apparel retailer after a series of embarrassingnd at times offensivencidents.
In March 2013, Lululemon had to recall a line of its black Luon yoga pants because of their see-through fabric. The screw-up cost the company an estimated $67 million.
The stock then dipped even further in June when CEO Christine Day stepped down. The stock tumbled 17% in one day and 25% over the ensuing two weeks.
Regarding the pants recall debacle, in November 2013, founder Chip Wilson infamously said "Quite frankly, some women's bodies just don't work for it. He made those remarks on Bloomberg TV, no less. A month later, he was forced to resign.

What:Shares of Capstone Turbine (NASDAQ: CPST ) skyrocketed 13.59% as the company announced that it had signed a major supplier deal with private real estate and investment firm Related Companies. Shares of Capstone haven't been this high in over a year.

Beyond the fundamentals, though, news plays an important role in short-term stock movements. Outside the Dow, microturbine producer Capstone Turbine (NASDAQ: CPST ) soared 8.8% after receiving its second large order in the past week. After getting word of a purchase from real-estate and investment firm Related Companies on Tuesday, Capstone got an order today from Southern California Gas to buy three of its C65 uninterruptible power-source units for use at the gas company's data center. Given the relatively small size of the business, which sports sales of only about $122 million over the past year, orders like this have a material effect on Capstone and also draw the attention of other prospective buyers.

I was so scarred by their subsequent crash that when I heard a portfolio manager rhapsodizing about the recent performance of Plug Power Inc (NSDQ: PLUG), Fuelcell Energy Inc (NSDQ: FCEL) and Capstone Turbine Corp (NSDQ: CPST), I could scarcely believe it. These were names that I had not heard in years, names that many investors would like to forget. Indeed, even with the recent run-up in their share prices, the value of these firms today is just a small fraction of what it was back then.

On Thursday, small cap supercomputer stock Cray Inc (NASDAQ: CRAY) announced that it had been rewarded with one of the largest contracts in its history for $174 million to provide the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) with supercomputers - meaning its worth taking a closer look at the stock along with the performance of large capslike International Business Machines Corp (NYSE: IBM) andHewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HPQ) plus small cap Silicon Graphics International Corp (NASDAQ: SGI) who sort of compete with the company in the supercomputing space. I shouldnote that over a year ago, we had Cray Inc inour SmallCap Network Elite Opportunity (SCN EO) trading portfoliowhen we had suggested it waspotentially a goodlow risk longer-term play.

Silicon Graphics International (SGI) develops, markets and sells various servers, enterprise-class storage hardware, differentiating software and solutions. This stock closed up 3.3% to $9.36 in Thursday's trading session.
Thursday's Range: $9.07-$9.47
52-Week Range: $8.16-$16.60
Thursday's Volume: 179,000
Three-Month Average Volume: 270,564From a technical perspective, SGI bounced notably higher here right above some near-term support at $9 with lighter-than-average volume. This stock has been making higher lows over the last two months, and this stock is now starting to trend within range of triggering a near-term breakout trade. That trade will hit if SGI manages to take out some near-term overhead resistance levels at its 50-day moving average of $9.58 to some more near-term overhead resistance levels at $9.65 to $10.23 with high volume.
Traders should now look for long-biased trades in SGI as long as it's trending above some near-term support levels at $9 or at $8.86 and then once it sustains a move or close above those breakout levels with volume that hits near or above 270,564 shares. If that breakout hits soon, then SGI will set up to re-test or possibly take out its next major overhead resistance levels at its 200-day moving average of $10.83 to its gap-down-day high of $11 from May. Any high-volume move above $11 will then give SGI a chance to re-fill some of its previous gap-down-day zone that started near $12.50.

One recent example of how the shutdown wormed its way into earnings was a profit warning from Silicon Graphics International Corp. (SGI) . SGI cut its outlook, citing lost revenue from contracts that were frozen late in the September-ending quarter in the run-up to the shutdown. Shares of the large-scale computing company dropped nearly 10% on Friday following the late Thursday warning.

Two names worth considering here are Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE: TMO ) and Illumina (NASDAQ: ILMN ) . Thermo Fisher makes the list as it's in the process of purchasing Life Technologies (NASDAQ: LIFE ) for $13.6 billion. In early 2012, Life Technologies introduced the Benchtop Ion Proton Sequencer, which is capable of delivering same-day genome results for just $1,000! Illumina, on the other hand, has researchers' bases covered from all ends. It offers four high-end sequencing machines, a lower-priced sequencer (MiSeq), and can handle cloud-based data to formulate decoding. These two companies could be the cornerstone of nCoV research!

Over the last several months, ABX has been divesting non-core assets. Starting in mid-2013, the company sold its non-core energy assets. Since then, focus has been on selling Australian gold assets. As we have stated previously, we believe the company will continue to sell noncore assets, focusing primarily on its interests in North America. Barrick had been previously seeking a suitor for its 74% interest in African Barrick (ABGLF); to date, the company remains unsuccessful in disposition of the ABG interest. In addition, we would not be averse to seeing Barrick sell off some or all of its copper assets, if they can get the right price.
